昔の雑誌の目次とか見ると（今もあるのかな？）、タイトルに、内容を示す惹句がついている。小説では内容把握がしにくいからでしょうか。武勇小説、軽快小説、義士物語、侠勇小説、武侠熱血・・・（「少年倶楽部」）雑誌ゆえのジャンルの幅が広かったせいの説明もあるのかな。バラエティさを示す。
そこで、昔（今も出てる？）の新書版SUNDAY COMICS（秋田書店）には、表紙カバーに〇〇COMICSとジャンルが示してあって、なんかカッコよかった。ちなみに登場人物なども紹介されていてそれもいい（手塚治虫「W3」を見ている）。

ところで、今連載中の浦沢直樹さんの「あさドラ！」（小学館「スピリッツ」）には〈連続漫画小説〉と銘うっている。昔、〈漫画〉は滑稽ものに付けられていたと思う。有モア小説に〈漫画小説〉とか書かれていたこともあったような記憶。NHKの朝ドラをもじったものとは思うけれど、主人公あさのドラマ（あさとドラゴンとも読める(^_^;)）・・・。漫画が〈マンガ〉でなく漢字表記なのも昭和感を出そうとしてるのかな。
